The Homecoming Scholars Award Program for 2018-2019

Following her historic performance at Coachella, which still has her fans buzzing. Beyoncé continues to prove to us how amazing she is, today she announced a new scholarship program through her BeyGOOD philanthropic initiative. The queen established The Homecoming scholars program which will award $25,000 to four HBCU for the 2018-2019 academic school year to Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee, and Bethune-Cookman universities in scholarships regardless of gender. The preparation will include literature, creative arts, African-American studies, science, education, business, communications, social sciences, computer science and engineering. Beychella: Let’s Bow Down To The Queen

We want to take a moment to Thank Baby Jesus and YouTube for the live stream because like many of you, we were unable to attend Coachella this year. We caught the two-hour performance of the queen from the comfort of our bed. History was made this weekend at The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival. Beyonce became the first Black Woman to ever headline the festival. This is another accomplishment she can add to her belt. Since last year performance was canceled due to her pregnancy Beyonce and her team put together a spectacular performance for this year’s event, which left everyone speechless. The theme for the night was inspired by (HBCU) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (institutions of higher education in the US that were established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which served African Americans.
