If you ever watch Atlanta on FX you would understand Glover’s realistic humor, which you would find in his latest music video  “This is America”  What are some things that stood out in this video? “This is America” is Glover’s  new music as his alter ego Childish Gambino since his 2016 LP, “Awaken, My Love.” Childish Gambino’s tour will begin Sept 6 in Atlanta  with Vince Staples and Rae Sremmurd. The Homecoming Scholars Award Program for 2018-2019

Following her historic performance at Coachella, which still has her fans buzzing. Beyoncé continues to prove to us how amazing she is, today she announced a new scholarship program through her BeyGOOD philanthropic initiative. The queen established The Homecoming scholars program which will award $25,000 to four HBCU for the 2018-2019 academic school year to Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee, and Bethune-Cookman universities in scholarships regardless of gender. The preparation will include literature, creative arts, African-American studies, science, education, business, communications, social sciences, computer science and engineering. In order to qualify for this program, the applicants must maintain a 3.5 GPA or above Take a look at the following Universities below: Xavier University of Louisiana, founded by Saint Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, is Catholic and historically Black. This Caribbean/Afrobeat rhythm was released just in time for the summer and will be a hit as 2017 French Montana “Unforgettable” summer banger. “Te Bote” was made by urban singer Nio Garcia, Darrell and Casper. Superstars Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny and Ozuna jumped on the track and bought their own twist to the record. Billboard Latin Music Conference will take place in Las Vegas from April 23-26 Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam and Ozuna are all confirmed for the event. Beychella: Let’s Bow Down To The Queen

We want to take a moment to Thank Baby Jesus and YouTube for the live stream because like many of you, we were unable to attend Coachella this year. We caught the two-hour performance of the queen from the comfort of our bed. History was made this weekend at The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival. Beyonce became the first Black Woman to ever headline the festival. This is another accomplishment she can add to her belt. Since last year performance was canceled due to her pregnancy Beyonce and her team put together a spectacular performance for this year’s event, which left everyone speechless. The theme for the night was inspired by (HBCU) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (institutions of higher education in the US that were established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which served African Americans. Happy Birthday Professor Q-Tip!!

Let’s just call him Professor Q-Tip. Can you imagine all the knowledge the students at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in The Tisch School of the Arts will receive. Amazing! Q-Tip will join Journalists Ashley Kahn to teach a course on the intersection of Jazz and Hip-Hop. The seven-class schedule wil cover artist like Public Enemy, The Roots, Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar. The second part of the course the students will receive in class and out class assignments from Q-Tip’s mentorship from learning musicianship, performance, compostition, and production. Class will beginning September 5 in the Fall semester.

This past weekend has been an amazing week for Hip Hop, from the release of Cardi B’s album to Drake teasing us with his release of his single “Nice For What” which debuted with a video. For the video he spotlights a group of strong women featuring Olivia Wilde, Rashida Jones, Jourdain Dunn, Michelle Rodriguez, Misty Copeland, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Lejonhjarta, Victoria Lejonhjarta, Letitia Wright, Bria Vinaite, Emma Roberts, and Syd. Cardi B Has Ascended Into Rap Loyalty

Cardi B has a few reasons to celebrate; the rapper released her album Invasion of Privacy Friday, April 6, 2018. Saturday night, she confirmed she was pregnant after her performance on SNL. From the beginning, of the year we claimed this year as the year of Women. Well, this year has been marked as Cardi B’s year. The 25-year-old rapper Belcalis Almanzar from the Bronx went from being a stripper, an Instagram celebrity, to her joining the cast of Mona Scott’s Love and Hip Hop New York and now ascending into rap loyalty in no time. Cardi tweeted after her performance on SNL “I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me. Think imma lose with my little baby counting on me?” What can we say?
